4 dead, several injured as North East Express derails in Bihar; rescue operation starts
Train derails in Bihar: At least four people died and many are feared injured after the North East Express train derailed in Bihar on Wednesday.
The incident took place close to Raghunathpur station near Buxar around 9.35 pm, according to an official. The train was on its way from Delhi's Anand Vihar Terminus to Kamakhya, near Guwahati in Assam.

National and state disaster response teams have been dispatched to the scene. Hospitals have also been alerted by the district administration.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav stated that he has spoken with the Disaster Management Department, the Health Department, and district officials from Buxar and Bhojpur to expedite relief and rescue efforts.

The office of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also stated that it is "closely monitoring the unfortunate derailment" of the train in Raghunathpur.
They further stated that they are in contact with the district authorities in Buxar as well as other agencies.
