Baba Siddique murder: Accused from Haryana nabbed by Mumbai crime branch, toll reaches 11

PTC News Desk: In a significant development in NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique's murder case, Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested an accused who is a resident of Haryana. The accused has been identified as Amit Hisamsing Kumar who is a resident of Nathwan Patti in Haryana's Kaithal. With his arrest, the total number of accused in custody has reached 11.


The arrest follows comprehensive investigation registered under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act.

Earlier  on Sunday, the Mumbai police nabbed a scrap dealer Bhagwat Singh Om Singh who allegedly supplied weapons and played a pivotal role in aiding the shooters. Singh is a native of Rajasthan's Udaipur. He is remanded to police custody till October 26. 

In the last week alone police made 10 arrests in connection with the case including the two shooters Gurmail Singh and Dharmraj Kashyap. The prime shooter Shivkumar Gautam and two other individuals involved in the murder conspiracy are on the run for which police has launched a manhunt.

Police officials are have alleged bishnoi connection with the modus operandi business in the cases.
