Akshaya Tritiya 2024: PM Modi extends wishes on auspicious occasion
PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended his warm wishes to all families across the country on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi said "Warm wishes to all the families of the country on Akshaya Tritiya. I hope that this auspicious occasion that inspires charity brings new energy and enthusiasm into the lives of all of you."
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed his wishes on the occasion: "Heartiest greetings on the sacred festival of Akshaya Tritiya! I pray to Goddess Lakshmi for eternal energy, happiness and progressive progress in your lives."
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended his wishes and said "Best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious festival of good fortune and prosperity, Akshaya Tritiya! I pray to Tribhuvan Swami Lord Shri Vishnu Ji and Mother Lakshmi Ji that everyone's life be filled with happiness, peace, prosperity and good health."
Kedarnath Dham, one of the country's oldest and most significant pilgrimage destinations, also opened its doors on Akshay Tritiya.
After a six-month hiatus, including the peak winter season, the portals were reopened through rituals and ceremonial hymn chanting.
Chants of 'Har Har Mahadev' burst out from the crowd of devotees gathered for the occasion, as the doors were opened to allow the chanting of shlokas (hymns).
Akshaya Tritiya, also known as Akti or Akha Teej, is an auspicious Hindu festival celebrated each year on the third lunar day of the bright half of the Indian lunar month of Vaishakha. The Gregorian calendar traditionally places it in April or May.
