Train services affected

Heavy rains in Punjab and Haryana not only affected people but also put rail passengers' affected plans off track. According to the Northern Railway, severe waterlogging caused railway tracks to go underwater, resulting in the suspension of services and the diverting of trains on the Sanehwal-Ambala route.

Due to bad weather and heavy rainfall in North India, train services on the Sanehwal-Ambala rail route were affected, and numerous trains were diverted.

Roads, bridges damaged

According to the state Public Works Department (PWD), floods in Punjab have damaged at least 150 rural roads and 10 small bridges in the last three days.

The National Highway, which connects Delhi to Dharamshala through Nangal-Una, was closed to traffic for about four hours on Saturday. On Sunday, though, traffic movement was normal.
