Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will stay in jail at least till Tuesday. Notably, the Delhi High Court has stayed the trial court's order granting bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal until its decision on the ED's petition for a stay of the order.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was granted bail in the ED's investigation into the excise policy case, but the Delhi High Court on Friday stayed the trial court's decision. On ED's petition for a stay of the trial court's plea, the HC has reserved the decision and stated that it will be made in two to three days.

The entire order is expected to be announced on Monday or Tuesday. Until then, the Aam Aadmi Party leader's counsel has been asked to file written submissions in response to the Enforcement Directorate's plea opposing the Rouse Avenue Court's decision.

On Thursday, Kejriwal was granted interim bail on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh by the trial court in Delhi. His release was subject to the condition that he refrain from influencing witnesses or interfering with the agency's money laundering investigation. Kejriwal had also been asked to help with the investigation and make the required appearances in court.
