Bangladesh unrest: Indian Railways suspends all train services with Bangladesh
Bangladesh unrest: The ongoing violent protests, as well as Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation, have left a massive power vacuum and uncertainty about India's eastern neighbour's future.
Indian Railways has cancelled all rail services to Bangladesh, including the Kolkata-Dhaka-Kolkata Maitri Express train, from July 19 to August 6, according to an Indian Railways source.
As reported by Bangladesh's The Daily Star, protesters broke into Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's official residence around 3 p.m. on Monday.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Hasina left Bangabhaban on Monday at about 2:30 p.m. in a military chopper, accompanied by her younger sister, Sheikh Rehana, for a "safer place," according to Bangladesh media.
