PTC Web Desk: In a shocking incident that has sent ripples across Bengaluru, a 33-year-old woman named Harini was allegedly murdered by her lover at a hotel in the Poorna Prajna Layout area. The accused, Yashas (25), a tech professional, is believed to have stabbed her to death following a dispute over their deteriorating relationship.

According to the police, the incident occurred on Friday night at an OYO hotel, but Harini’s body was discovered two days later. Both the victim and the accused were residents of Kengeri.

Speaking on the matter, DCP (South) Lokesh Jagalasar said that Harini and Yashas had known each other for about a year. However, over the past couple of months, Harini had started to distance herself, which allegedly enraged the suspect. This frustration reportedly culminated in the fatal attack, with the police confirming that she was stabbed to death.

The case is being handled by the Subramanyapura police station, and the accused is currently in judicial custody as investigations continue.

This tragic case echoes another horrific incident from March 2025, where another techie in Bengaluru was arrested for murdering his wife and concealing her body in a suitcase before fleeing to Pune.

The victim, 32-year-old Gauri Anil Sambekar, had a background in mass media and was reportedly unemployed at the time of her death. The couple had relocated from Maharashtra and were staying in Doddakannahalli, under the jurisdiction of the Hulimavu Police Station, for just two months prior to the incident.

In a grim twist, the accused allegedly ingested a toxic substance and confessed to the crime over a phone call to Gauri’s parents, which led to his arrest.
