In Modi 3.0, 71 ministers have been allocated ministries. The key development comes nearly 24 hours since Narendra Modi was sworn in as Prime Minister for his third consecutive term, along with 71 ministers in his Union Council.

Cabinet portfolios announced | Who gets what in Modi 3.0? Check full list

PTC Web Desk: In Modi 3.0, 71 ministers have been allocated ministries. The key development comes nearly 24 hours since Narendra Modi was sworn in as Prime Minister for his third consecutive term, along with 71 ministers in his Union Council.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Cabinet has kept big faces in key ministries. 


Amit Shah has retained the Home portfolio, Rajnath Singh the Defence portfolio, S Jaishankar retained the Foreign Ministry and Nirmala Sitharaman will keep the Finance Ministry.  Nitin Gadkari will continue to be in-charge of Road Transport and Highways, with two juniors - Ajay Tamta and Harsh Malhotra. Piyush Goyal has retained the Commerce portfolio.

JP Nadda, the health minister of Prime Minister Modi's first cabinet, has been assigned the same position. He has also been given charge for the Chemicals and Fertilisers department.

The Prime Minister will have charge of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, as well as the Departments of Atomic Energy and Space.
