Chandigarh Police issue traffic advisory for Independence Day 2025 rehearsal
PTC Web Desk: The Chandigarh Police have issued a traffic advisory for the Independence Day 2025 rehearsal scheduled to take place on August 13 at the Parade Ground, Sector 17. The rehearsal will begin at 8.30 am, and traffic movement will be regulated from 8.30 am to 9.15 am on specific routes.
According to the advisory, the affected routes include:
Punjab Raj Bhawan -Hira Singh Chowk -4/5-8/9 Chowk -Sector 3/4-9/10 Chowk (New Barricade Chowk) -Sector 1/3/4 Chowk (Old Barricade Chowk) -War Memorial-Bougainvillea Garden, Sector 3.
War Memorial-Bougainvillea Garden, Sector 3 -Old Barricade Chowk -Matka Chowk -Sector 16/17 Light Point -Lyons Light Point -Parade Ground, Sector 17.
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes during the rehearsal hours. The police have urged the public to cooperate and expressed regret for any inconvenience caused.
