9 children killed after Madhya Pradesh temple wall collapses during religious event
PTC News Desk: At least 9 children died and two others were injured after a wall collapsed at a temple in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district this morning.
Two other children were injured and sent to a local hospital, they added.
According to officials, the event occurred at 8:30 a.m., with initial reports indicating that the collapse was caused by the heavy rain last night.
Senior officials and district administration authorities arrived at the scene after getting information.
District Collector Deepak Arya reported that local police and rescue workers arrived at the scene and began a rescue operation.
"Nine children passed away in the tragedy. Two others have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment," Arya stated.
