'Conspiracies to defame Arvind Kejriwal's work': Manish Sisodia addresses AAP workers

PTC News Desk: Manish Sisodia met hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party workers on Saturday, a day after being released from jail in the Delhi excise policy case, and asked them to fight against the country's "dictatorship".

Manish Sisodia also criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party, claiming that these people are not more powerful than the Constitution. Every person must fight against this "dictatorship" that is not just locking up leaders but also harassing citizens, Sisodia stated.

The former Delhi deputy chief minister claimed that conspiracies are being made to defame Arvind Kejriwal's work and that if opposition politicians join together against the "dictatorship," the Delhi chief minister will be released from jail in 24 hours.

Sisodia informed AAP workers that "we are just horses of a chariot, but our real 'saarthi' (charioteer) is in jail, and he will be released soon."

In a speech to his party workers, Manish Sisodia reflected on his time in jail in connection with the Delhi excise policy scam, saying that the tears of people waiting for him helped him get through the difficult moment.

"These tears gave me strength...I hoped that justice would be served in 7-8 months. It took 17 months, but honesty and truth prevailed," he remarked.

Sisodia claimed that the Supreme Court used the power of the Constitution to "crush dictatorship" on his bail decision.
