Covid cases spike: Fresh 1,134 Covid cases reported, 5 deaths
New Delhi, March 22: On Wednesday India records a single-day rise of 1,134 fresh Covid cases, with the active case tally surpassing the 7,000 mark, quoting data from Health ministry.
According to information, the active Covid cases has increased to 7,026, comprising 0.02 per cent of the total infections, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.19 per cent. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 1.09 per cent while the weekly positivity was pegged at 0.98 per cent.

There is a total of Covid-19 cases which has now crossed 4.46 crore (4,46,98,118). The Covid death toll rose suddenly and inched to 5,30,813 with five deaths with one each reported by Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat and Maharashtra and one reconciled by Kerala, the health ministry data revealed.
According to the data, the number recoveries has surged to 4,41,60,279 with the national recovery rate standing at 98.80 per cent.
