Govt reserves 10% of CAPF recruitment positions for former Agniveers, offers age relaxation
PTC Web Desk: The Central Government has reserved 10% of CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) recruitment positions for former Agniveers. The BSF (Border Security Force) has not only reserved 10% of its positions for former Agniveers, but will also provide age relaxation. This announcement was made by BSF Director General.

BSF Director General's Announcement
BSF Director General Nitin Agarwal announced that 10% of BSF recruitment positions are reserved for former Agniveers. He stated that the BSF is ready to include former Agniveers, who will be immediately deployed after training as they are already prepared soldiers. Additionally, former Agniveers will receive age relaxation. The first batch of former Agniveers will get a 5-year age relaxation, and the subsequent batch will receive a 3-year age relaxation. This decision, he mentioned, will strengthen the security forces.
CISF to Offer Relaxation
As per the Ministry of Home Affairs' decision, the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) is also prepared to include former Agniveers in the force. The CISF Director General stated that 10% of constable positions will be reserved for them, with additional relaxation in age and physical efficiency tests. Every year, under the Agnipath scheme, the Indian Army and Air Force recruit youth as Agniveers for four years.
CRPF to Provide Relaxation
The CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) is also ready to recruit former Agniveers. The CRPF Director General said former Agniveers would receive a 10% reservation in recruitment, exemption from physical tests, and age relaxation. The first batch will get a 5-year age relaxation, and the second batch will receive a 3-year age relaxation.
