Delhi Excise Policy Case: The Rouse Avenue Court on Friday sent Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to ED custody for 6 days till March 28.

Earlier today, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was produced in Rose Avenue Court, as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) sought his 10-day custody in connection with the now-scrapped liquor policy.


Senior Advocates Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Vikram Chaudhari, and Ramesh Gupta along with Advocates Rajat Bharadwaj, Mudit Jain and Mohd Irshad appeared for the Delhi CM Kejriwal.

Kejriwal was arrested by the central agency late Thursday night after skipping nine summonses issued against him by the Enforcement Directorate and Delhi High Court, which refused to grant him relief from any coercive action by the probe agency. The AAP Chief was produced before the court of Special Judge Kaveri Baweja.

Before Arvind Kejriwal, Vijay Nair, Abhishek Boinpalli, Sameer Mahindru, P Sarath Chandra, Binay Babu, Amit Arora, Gautam Malhotra, Raghav Manguta, Rajesh Joshi, Aman Dhal, Arun Pillai, Manish Sisodia, Dinesh Arora, Sanjay Singh, and K. Kavita have been arrested. 

The case pertains to alleged irregularities and money laundering in framing and implementing the Delhi excise policy 2022, which was later scrapped.
