Delhi horror: Yet another horrific, unfortunate and unsettling hit-and-drag case from Delhi came to limelight on Tuesday night. 

In a dreadful incident that unfolded on Tuesday night in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area, 43-year-old Delhi cab driver Bijendra dies after being attacked by robbers and dragged by car. 


In a horrific incident, 43-year-old man Bijendra, a resident of Faridabad was driving his taxi in the Mahipalpur area on Tuesday night when a group of unknown miscreants tried to overpower him and to robber him by stealing his taxi. But when Bijendra objected, robbers hit him with the taxi and dragged him at Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area for over 200 metres. 

According to the police statement, driver was found in critical condition at the roadside with several head injuries at around 11:20 pm on Tuesday night. 

The police team took him to the nearby hospital but unfortunately he succumbed to the multiple head injuries. 

Delhi Police registered a case under sections 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Vasant Kunj North Police Station against unknown miscreants and the investigation is also underway but no arrests have been made so far. 

Earlier, several cases of hit-and-drag horrific incidents have been reported from all over the country. In February two youths on bike were allegedly hit by speeding car from behind and were dragged for about four kilomteres in Haryana's Gurugram. In August, of road rage incident from Haryana’s Panchkula came to limelight in which a doctor was dragged on the bonnet of a car for about 50 metres in Sector 8 of Panchkula.
