Over 25 injured after temporary structure near Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium collapses
JLN stadium Gate collapses: More than twenty-five injured after a structure installed near Gate number 2 of the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the national capital collapsed on Saturday.
As per the statement by Delhi Police, the pandal was being installed at Gate 2 of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium for a wedding function and the pandal collapsed while laborers were on a lunch break, thus averting a potential major tragedy.

At least 10-12 individuals were suspected to be trapped under the debris of the collapsed temporary structure at the JLN Stadium in south Delhi
On the pandal collapse incident at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, DCP South Ankit Chauhan says, "Around 11.15 am, a call was received about the collapse of a pandal/tent and the possibility of few labourers trapped under it. After arriving on the spot, it was found that 25-30 labourers were trapped under the fallen structure. The pandal was erected for a wedding function. 25-30 people rescued and shifted to AIIMS Trauma Centre and Safdarjung Hospital. NDRF team on the spot now to conduct the rescue operation."

Emergency services, including the fire brigade and Delhi Police, are on the spot and conducting rescue operations.
