Denim jacket, mask, no turban: 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh spotted in Delhi

New Delhi, March 28: 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh has been spotted roaming on the streets of Delhi, as shown in a CCTV footage. The development comes after a week Amritpal escaped from Punjab. 

According to sources, the CCTV footage is from March 21, three days after the Punjab police launched a manhunt to arrest him. 


In the CCTV footage, Amritpal could be seen wearing a denim jacket, and jeans with sunglasses on, and covering his face with a mask to hide his identity. His close aide Papalpreet Singh could also be seen with him.

Meanwhile, the Department of Immigration, Nepal government alerted its offices, to prevent Amritpal who could flee to a third country using Nepali territory either on his own passport or a fake passport, reported the Himalayan Times.

According to media reports, DG Jhalak Ram Adhikari said that Indian Embassy had written to his office seeking his office's help in stopping Khalistan separatist Amritpal Singh from fleeing to a third country.

Indian Embassy has also provided Amritpal's photograph and other details, flagging Nepali authorities that the fugitive could flee to a third country.

All passengers who wanted to go abroad using Nepal's airport would be screened at the airport so that Amritpal can not flee, Adhikari added.
