Diljit Dosanjh gets SFJ threat over Australia concert on November 1 for touching Big B's feet
PTC News Desk: Gurpatwant Singh Pannun's banned outfit in India Sikhs For Justice has called for a shutdown of singer Diljit Dosanjh's show in Australia on November 1- the same day the Akal Takht Sahib observes as Sikh Genocide Rememberance Day.
The threat comes after Diljit Dosanjh appeared on Kon Banega Crorepati and was seen touching Amitabh Bachchan's feet, whome SFJ has accused of 'inciting mobs' during anti-Sikh violence in 1984.
In a statement, the SFJ said Dosanjh "insulted every victim, every widow, and every orphan of 1984 Sikh Genocide" by touching the feet of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
"By touching feet of Bachchan the man whose words orchestrated Genocide, Diljit Dosanjh has insulted every victim, every widow, and every orphan of 1984 Sikh Genocide," Pannun said.
The outfit alleged that Bachchan on October 31, 1984 had publicly incited Hindustani mobs with the genocidal slogan 'Khoon Ka Badla Khoon' - 'Blood for Blood'- a call that unleashed a group that committed genocidal violence in which more than 30,000 Sikh men and women were killed.
Pannun has called Diljit's show in Australia a 'mockery of remembrance' and urged the Sikh groups and artists worldwide to boycott the concert. The outfit also said that it would stage a Panthic Shutdown Rally outside the concert venue on November 1.
Diljit, however has not issued any response over the controversy. He is currently on a world tour with multiple international shows lined up through November.
