Domestic air traffic touches new peak as airlines carry 4.59 lakh passengers on Nov 20
PTC News Desk: India's domestic air traffic reached a new high, with airlines carrying 4,59,526 passengers. On November 20, there were 5,468 flight movements recorded.
This was the third consecutive day that domestic air traffic in the country reached a new high.
According to media reports, traffic reached a new high of 4,56,748 on November 18 (Saturday) and a new peak of 4,56,910 on November 19 (Sunday).
Last November 20, the number of domestic air passengers was 3,94,07, with a total of 5,468 flight movements.
According to the civil aviation ministry, India's domestic aviation turnaround story post-Covid has been not only overwhelming but also inspiring.
"Positive attitude, progressive policies, and deep trust among passengers are taking it to new heights with every flight, every day," the ministry said.
According to the ministry, the highest single-day air traffic since the pandemic hit represents a remarkable 7.4% increase over pre-Covid averages.
"Taking flight to new heights! The Ministry of Civil Aviation soars as it celebrates the highest single-day air traffic since the pandemic hit, marking a remarkable 7.4% surge above pre-COVID averages. A clear sign of recovery and resilience in the skies."
