Dry day in Delhi for Guru Teg Bahadur Ji's martyrdom day
PTC News Desk: Delhi government declared a dry day on November 24 to commemorate Guru Teg Bahadur Ji's martyrdom, ordering the closure of all liquor stores in the city.
According to officials, Christmas will no longer be a dry day, as previously announced by the excise department.
According to a 'corrigendum' issued by the excise department, liquor stores in Delhi will be closed on November 24 (Guru Teg Bahadur Ji's martyrdom day) instead of Christmas (December 25).
In an order issued on September 29, the department declared six dry days from October to December, including December 25, the day before Christmas.
This has now been changed, and the Friday commemorating Guru Teg Bahadur Ji's martyrdom will be a dry day rather than Christmas, according to officials.
