Excise policy scam: CBI has filed a chargesheet against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others in Rouse Avenue Court in connection with the excise policy case.
The CBI and ED have concluded their probe of Chief Minister Kejriwal in connection with the excise scam.
Earlier, on July 25, a Delhi court extended Kejriwal's judicial custody until August 8 in the CBI case involving the alleged excise policy scam. Kejriwal was brought before the court via video conference from Tihar Jail. He is currently in judicial custody in the CBI case.
Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI on June 26 from Tihar Jail and is currently in judicial custody in connection with a money laundering case filed by the ED. The trial court granted bail to Kejriwal, who was arrested by the ED on March 21, in the money laundering case on June 20, but the high court cancelled the ruling. On July 12, the Supreme Court granted him interim bail in the ED case; however, he remains in Tihar jail here because he has not given the bail bond in the case.
