Explosion at home kills ex-MLA’s wife in Manipur
PTC News Desk: A former MLA's wife was killed in a bomb blast in Manipur's Kangpokpi district on Sunday, officials confirmed.
On Saturday evening, an explosion occurred near the home of former Saikul MLA Yamthong Haokip, according to reports.
Sapam Charubala, Haokip's second wife, was injured in the bomb and rushed to a hospital in Saikul, but she later died from her injuries, according to officials.
Haokip was also at his house when the explosion occurred, although he was not injured.
Police are investigating the matter. Further details are awaited.
