Karnataka horror : Violence against daughters and women of the nation is increasing with each passing day which has become a serious and deeply concerning issue. The violence against women can take place in various forms including physical, emotional, and economic abuse.

An uptick in such tragic cases is a serious issue for society and is also raising questions on the law-and-order situation in the nation.

In a tragic, horrific and spine chilling incident, a 16-year-old girl was reportedly beheaded by the man she was supposed to marry, just hours after authorities intervened to halt their engagement ceremony.

As per the reports, the girl recently cleared her Class 10 exams and was forced to marry 32-year-old Prakash in Karnataka’s Surlabbi village.

However, before the engagement rituals someone informed about the illegal ceremony to the Commission for Protection of Child Rights.

The authorities of the Commission for Protection of Child Rights intervened and ordered the families to call off the ceremony  as the girl was underage and could not be married.

Following their intervention, the families agreed to call off the engagement and canceled the event.

Tragically, shortly afterward, fiancee Prakash allegedly stormed into the girl's house, assaulting her parents before dragging the girl outside and beheading her. He then fled the scene, prompting a search operation by the police.

As of now, Prakash remains missing, and authorities are actively pursuing him in connection with the horrific crime.
