Five killed, several injured after falling off overcrowded local train in Mumbai,
PTC News Desk: At least five people were killed and several others injured after falling off a local train in Thane near Mumbai. The overcrowding in train reportedly lead to the fatal accident. The incident occurred between Diva and Kopar railway stations of the Central Railway when Pushpak express was on its way to Kasara.
The preliminary investigation suggest that the train was heavily overcrowded and the passengers were lingering on the edge when the unfortunate incident unfolded. The injured passengers were immediately rushed to the hospital where five were declared brought dead.
The deceased passengers are reported to be between 30–35 years of age. The process to identify them is currently on.
