Gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari's son arrested for forging documents in attempt to claim father's property
PTC News Desk: Late gangster turned politician Mukhtar Ansari's son Umar Ansari was arrested on Sunday for allegedly submitting forged documents in court in a bid to recover his father's seized properties.
According to a statement issued by the Superintendent of Police, Ghazipur, the properties were seized under provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters Act.

A petition was filed in court seeking the release of these assets, which belonged to Mukhtar Ansari, who died in March this year due to cardiac arrest at a Banda hospital.
The incident came to light after Umar Ansari submitted documents bearing fake signaturef of Afsana Ansar, Muktar Ansari's wife to seek illegal gains. Afsana Ansari is currently absconding and caries a bounty of Rs 50,000 for information leading to her arrest.
A case has been registered against Umar Ansari at Mohammadabad police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
