Gurugram: Youth killed by friends over body-shaming, dumped in school washroom
PTC Web Desk: A shocking murder case has emerged from Gurugram where a 20-year-old youth, identified as Karn, was allegedly killed by his friends for repeatedly mocking their slim physique. His decomposed body was discovered earlier this week in a school washroom.
According to officials, the grim discovery was made on August 4 when a school teacher noticed blood stains and followed the trail to a locked washroom, where the body was found. The police initially faced difficulty identifying the victim due to decomposition.
Three days later, the police arrested the two accused — Akash and Shiv Kumar — who have since confessed to the crime.
During interrogation, investigators learned that the incident occurred on the night between July 2 and 3, when the accused entered the school premises for reasons yet to be determined. There, Karn, who had a muscular build, allegedly mocked them again about their thin bodies.
Enraged, one of the accused struck Karn with a stone, while the other attacked him with scissors. The duo then dumped his body in the school washroom and fled the scene.
The police recovered both murder weapons — the stone and the scissors — from the crime scene. The accused are currently in police custody on remand.
“We received the report about the body on August 4. A teacher spotted blood stains in the school, which led to the discovery. The two accused have been arrested and are on remand. Further details will be shared after the interrogation,” a police officer said.
