PTC News Desk: In a heart breaking incident, an Indian Army soldier was cremated with full state honours, shortly after his daughter's birth in Maharashtra's Sitara district.

The soldier, identified as Pramod Parshuram Jadhav, a resident of Dare village in Satara taluka, died in a road accident when he was travelling on his bike for some personal work. He was posted with the Indian Army in the Secunderabad–Srinagar sector. He had come home on leave around eight days ago to support his wife during childbirth, especially as he had lost his mother earlier.

The fatal accident occured when an Eicher tempo reportedly rammed into his bike with great force, killing him on the spot. The news plunged Dare village and the entire Parli valley into deep mourning.

Jadhav's mortal remains were brought to his native village. At the same time, his wife gave birth to a baby girl, creating a painful contrast between grief and new life. The family mourned the loss of a son, husband and soldier while also experiencing the delicate joy of welcoming a newborn. During the funeral procession, Jadhav’s wife and their hours-old daughter were brought for his final darshan, a moment so emotional that it moved everyone present to tears.

Jadhav was cremated with full state honours, with officials, ex-servicemen, villagers and relatives gathering in large numbers to pay their respects. A video of the scene has since gone viral on social media, with people expressing deep sadness and heartbreak over the tragedy.
