Himachal: Bomb threat email claims to target offices, public places in Kullu in next 24 hours, high alert issued
PTC Web Desk: The authorities in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district were placed on high alert on Friday evening after a bomb threat email warned of possible attacks on multiple locations, including government offices and public places, within the next 24 hours. The Office of the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Kullu, confirmed receipt of the threat.
In response, the DDMA has issued alerts to all agencies concerned, including the police. Bomb disposal squads and surveillance teams have been deployed across the district as precautionary measures. Intelligence agencies and law enforcement are actively working to verify the authenticity of the threat and trace the source of the email, according to reports.
This latest incident marks the fourth bomb threat reported in Himachal Pradesh in recent days. Similar threats were earlier received in Mandi, Hamirpur, and Chamba districts.
Last week, the office of the Deputy Commissioner in Mandi received a bomb threat email that also referenced the Himachal Pradesh Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena’s office. The message indicated potential coordinated activities in Tamil Nadu, with a possible link to the threat timing in Himachal Pradesh.bomb
