Indore incident: Class 4 student allegedly assault classmate 108 times with compass after school fight
Indore, November 27: In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a disturbing incident unfolded at a private school where a Class 4 student was reportedly attacked by three of his classmates using a geometry compass. The altercation resulted in the student being assaulted 108 times, leaving scars from the ordeal. This shocking event occurred on November 24 within the school premises under the jurisdiction of the Aerodrome police station.
All children involved in this distressing incident are under the age of 10. Authorities, including the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and law enforcement, have initiated necessary measures in line with legal provisions. The CWC, led by chairperson Pallavi Porwal, is actively seeking an investigative report from the police to understand the underlying reasons for such violent behavior among children of such a young age.
Expressing concern, Porwal mentioned plans to counsel the children and their families. Additionally, efforts will be made to discern if exposure to video games with violent content might have influenced the children's actions.
The victim's father, deeply distressed by the incident, voiced his concern over the severity of the attack and the school's response. He highlighted the reluctance of the school management to provide CCTV footage of the classroom during the incident.
Following the complaint lodged at the Aerodrome police station, Assistant Commissioner of Police Vivek Singh Chauhan confirmed that the victim underwent a medical examination.
