Jammu and Kashmir: 3 terrorists neutralised in clash with security forces in Udhampur
PTC News Desk: In a significant counter-terrorism operation today, the army’s special forces, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, eliminated three terrorists in Kathua district. The operation, which remains ongoing, has been a coordinated effort involving multiple security units.
The forces engaged in this operation include the Army's 1 Para (Parachute Regiment), 22 Garhwal Rifles, and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. These units have been actively involved in neutralizing the threat posed by the terrorists.
This operation comes ahead of the upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir, which are scheduled to be held in three phases starting September 18. The timing of the operation underscores the heightened security measures being implemented in the region to ensure a safe electoral process.
