Jammu and Kashmir: 2 terrorists eliminated as encounter breaks out in Kishtwar; 8 killed in two weeks
PTC News Desk: Two terrorists were neutralised after an encounter broke out with the security forces in the Singhpora area of Chatroo in Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir.
Codenamed 'Operation Trashi', the joint operation saw the deployment of additional troops after the gunbattle erupted. Efforts are on to neutralise the terrorists, the Army’s White Knight Corps said in a post on X.
Thre preliminary reports suggested that an encounter broke out after the troops launched a search operation in Singhpora Chatroo after the reports of presence of three to four terrorists in the Chattroo forests came to fore.
The operation was a joint operation led by security forces after three terrorists associated with Jaish-e-mohammad were killed in the Nadir village of Tral area in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district just a week ago.
