In a tragic and spine-chilling incident, 32-year-old Pushpa beheaded his wife and then chopped her body into the pieces in Bengaluru.
The harrowing incident unfolded in Hospet village of Karnataka's Tumakuru district.
The accused husband, identified as Shivaram, was arrested by the police.
As per the police reports, Shivaram is said to have committed the crime subsequent to a heated argument with his wife on Monday evening. Allegedly, he gruesomely beheaded Pushpa and proceeded to dismember her body within the confines of their kitchen.
Notably, Pushpa hailed from Sagara town situated in Karnataka's Shivamogga district. The couple resided in a rented abode alongside their eight-year-old child. The accused, Shivaram, was employed as a helper at a local sawmill.
Initial inquiries suggest that the couple engaged in frequent disputes, as relayed by officials overseeing the case.
Such spine-chilling and frightening incidents raise concern about the safety of women in India, especially in their own homes or residence.
