Karnataka: Tragic road accident claims 12 lives in Karnataka's Chikkaballapura
Chikkaballapura, October 26: A horrifying accident on the Bengaluru-Hyderabad highway, just outside Chikkaballapur near Bengaluru, has resulted in the loss of twelve lives. The accident occurred when an SUV collided with a stationary truck, and it is believed that a dense layer of mist obstructed the driver's visibility, contributing to this tragic incident.
The police have reported that two additional individuals sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital, with their condition deemed critical. It was the impaired visibility due to the thick mist that ultimately led to this unfortunate mishap, according to law enforcement officials.
Chikkaballapur's Superintendent of Police, DL Nagesh, conveyed that the SUV collided with the parked truck from the rear, causing the death of 12 individuals, including two women. The victims were traveling from Andhra Pradesh, as confirmed by the SP during his visit to the accident site.
