Lt Colonel, jawan killed after boulder hits Army convoy in Leh; three officers injured
PTC Web Desk: In a tragic incident in the Union Territory of Ladakh, an Army officer and a jawan lost their lives, while three others sustained injuries after a massive boulder struck an Army vehicle on Tuesday morning.
According to official sources, the accident occurred around 11.30 am as an Army convoy was moving from Durbuk to Chongtash in the Leh region. A sudden landslide caused a boulder to hit one of the vehicles in the convoy.
The deceased have been identified as Lieutenant Colonel Bhanu Pratap Singh and Lance Dafadar Daljeet Singh. The injured personnel include Major Mayank Shubham, Major Amit Dixit, and Captain Gaurav, all of whom have been shifted to the Army Hospital in Leh for medical treatment.
The authorities are investigating the incident further, and the Army has expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.
