Man kills wife in UP after alleged affair with mother-in-law; objectionable photos go viral

PTC Web Desk:  In a shocking case from Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj district, a man allegedly murdered his wife after developing an illicit relationship with his mother-in-law. The sensational affair surfaced when objectionable photos of the accused and his mother-in-law began circulating on social media.

According to the police, the incident came to light earlier this week when a 20-year-old woman, Shivani, was found dead inside her home in Sidhpura area. Officers arrived at the scene after receiving information about her suspicious death.

Investigations revealed that Shivani had married Pramod in 2018. Family members accused Pramod of maintaining an inappropriate relationship with his wife’s mother, which reportedly led to frequent quarrels and tension within the household. Police sources confirmed that the family had been facing disputes for several months due to these allegations.

Relatives also alleged that Pramod often resorted to violence against Shivani following arguments over his alleged affair. Two days before her death, the couple had a heated altercation, after which Shivani was found murdered.

Following the crime, Pramod and some members of his family allegedly fled the village and remain absconding. Meanwhile, several lewd photos purportedly showing Pramod with his mother-in-law went viral, further fueling outrage in the community.

Based on a complaint filed by Shivani’s relatives, the police have registered a case of murder against Pramod and his family members. Search operations and raids are underway to arrest the accused.
