PTC Web Desk: A 15-year-old national-level shooter from West Bengal has been missing since Thursday afternoon. The missing teenager, Damayanti Sen, is a resident of Umacharan Bhattacharjee Lane in central Howrah and had recently earned a place in the national team trials.

According to her family, Damayanti stepped out of her home on Thursday afternoon to purchase a few household items. However, she did not return, leaving her family worried. After searching for her among relatives, friends and fellow shooters without success, her parents lodged a missing person complaint at the local police station.

Last seen at Howrah Station

The police have found CCTV footage showing Damayanti at Howrah Station. Investigators said she was seen moving between platforms 4 and 5 on Thursday. This is the last confirmed record of her whereabouts and officials are now trying to trace where she went after leaving the station.

She was carrying her mobile phone when she left home and investigators are also examining available leads to track her movements.

Family says her behaviour was normal

Damayanti's parents told the police that there had been no arguments or unusual incidents at home before she went missing. They described her as a disciplined athlete who followed a fixed routine and woke up early every day to train after being selected for the national trials.

In an appeal shared on social media, her mother said Damayanti was last seen around 10 am at Howrah Station. She added that the teenager was wearing a pink half-sleeve T-shirt and shorts when she was last spotted. The family has urged anyone with information about her whereabouts to immediately contact them or inform the police.
