North India shivers: Biting cold gripped several places of Northern and North-eastern parts of the country such as Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh, Rajasthan and Bihar as temperature dropped to minus Celsius, a dense layer of fog has engulfed the city which resulted in very low visibility, affected normal life and delayed train services.
Dense fog, low clouds and low visibility persists over several parts of North India due to which travellers and passengers all across the nation face delays, cancellation in aviation, road transport and train operations all across the nation.
As per the reports, as many as 18 Delhi-bound trains reported to be running late and flights services also disrupted.

A dense fog was reported in some parts of Haryana and Chandigarh and isolated parts of Jammu division, West Rajasthan, Delhi, West Madhya Pradesh and East Uttar Pradesh.
The IMD has also issued a weather forecast, predicting no significant change in minimum temperatures over Northwest India during the next 24 hours and a rise of about two degree Celsius thereafter for the subsequent four days.
No significant change in minimum temperatures is expected over Central India during the next five days.
