OMG! Nursery class student brings gun to school, shoots another student
Bihar: In a shocking and horrific incident, a five-year-old nursery student reportedly brought a gun to school and shot another student.
The dreadful incident unfolded at the St Joan Boarding School in Bihar's Supaul district.
According to the reports, the nursery kid brought a firearm hidden in his school bag to school and fired at a 10-year-old boy, injuring his arm.
A student of Class 3 who was shot is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
In a video from his hospital bed, the boy recounted the incident, saying, “I was on my way to class when he pulled out a gun from his bag and shot at me. I tried to stop him, and he ended up firing at my hand.”
He clarified that there had been no prior altercation with the shooter.
In response, the police are investigating the school administration for the significant lapse in safety.
Parents, alarmed and upset, gathered at the school and chanted slogans against the administration.
In response to this incident, schools throughout the district have been instructed to implement thorough and regular checks of students' bags and personal items. The aim is to ensure that no dangerous or inappropriate items are brought onto school premises.
