Pakistani ex-cop Nasir Dhillon mastermind of cross-border espionage network, says arrested Punjab Youtuber
PTC News Desk: A former Pakistan police official was among the mastermind of the cross-border spy ring network which various Indians have been found to be a part of.
Punjab Youtuber who was arrested earlier this week on the charges of spying for Pakistan revealed during interrogation that the former Pakistan cop Nasir Dhillon is alleged mastermind of the entire cross-border espionage network who also introduced Singh to Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) officials in Lahore. Jasbir Singh further said that Nasir had arranged his meeting with ISI operative Danish in Pakistan.
According to the information revealed by Jasbir Singh, Nasir Dhillon is a cop turned YouTuber who used to connect Indian social media personalities with ISI operative Danish alias Ehsan-ur-Rehman, who worked as a visa officer in the Pakistani embassy in Delhi.
Earier last month, Danish was expelled from the embassy after travel vlogger Jyoti Malhotra's espionage came to the fore. Both Jasbir Singh and Nasir Dhillon know Jyoti Malhotra, who runs the travel YouTube account 'Travel With Jo', and was among the first of spies in the alleged Islamabad-run espionage ring to be arrested.
Jasbir Singh, the creator of the YouTube channel 'JaanMahal video' with over a million subscribers, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly leaking information about the movement of Indian security forces to Pakistan's ISI. According to Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, Singh was reportedly in touch with an ISI operative named Shakir, also known as Jutt Randhawa, who is linked to a terror-supported espionage ring.
Investigations revealed that Singh had traveled to Pakistan three times, and several Pakistani phone numbers were found on his devices, which are currently undergoing forensic analysis. He had also attended Pakistan's National Day celebration at the Pakistani Embassy in Delhi, invited by an individual named Danish.
