PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched over 2,000 railway infrastructure projects worth a staggering Rs 41,000 crore. In his address, Modi hailed this as emblematic of the 'New India' work ethic, emphasising the nation's shift towards ambitious goals and swift realization.

Highlighting the momentum of development, Modi expressed confidence in the upcoming third term of his government, set to commence in June. He laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 553 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, underscoring the scale and speed of ongoing initiatives.


Reflecting on the railways' transformation over the past decade, Modi cited milestones such as the introduction of Vande Bharat trains, cleanliness initiatives, and electrification efforts. He criticized past administrations for misusing public funds, contrasting it with his government's focus on utilizing resources efficiently for railway expansion.

Modi emphasized the railways' pivotal role in facilitating travel and generating employment, asserting its evolution from a victim of politics to a catalyst for progress. He cautioned against revenue leaks and scams, urging responsible fiscal management to ensure tangible benefits from budgetary allocations.

The event witnessed participation from governors, chief ministers, MPs, MLAs, and numerous stakeholders, reflecting the nationwide significance of the railway sector's transformational journey.
