PM Modi to meditate for 48 hours at Vivekananda Rock Memorial after Lok Sabha campaign

PTC News Desk: After the Lok Sabha election campaign concludes, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will spend two days in a spiritual retreat. According to sources on Tuesday, he will travel to Kanniyakumari in Tamil Nadu to meditate before the poll results on June 4. He is going to meditate at the 'Dhyan Mandapam' from May 30 to June 1 in the evening.

June 1 is the date of the seventh and final phase of the Parliamentary election; the campaign concludes on May 30. From May 30 to June 1, PM Modi will be in Kanniyakumari. While there, he will meditate at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, which is the same spot where Swami Vivekananda once meditated.

After traveling across the nation, Swami Vivekananda landed in Kanniyakumari, where he spent three days in meditation on a rock at the confluence of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean, 500 meters offshore from the coast. It is thought that this is where Vivekananda became enlightened.

Hindu mythology states that Goddess Kanniyakumari, also known as Parvati, carried out penances on the rock as a sign of her devotion to Lord Shiva. The site's religious significance is further enhanced by the belief that a little projection on the rock is an impression of her foot.

Following his election campaigns, Prime Minister Modi is rumored to embark on spiritual pilgrimages. He traveled to Kedarnath in 2019 and Pratapgarh, the home of Shivaji, in 2014.

Starting on April 19, there will be seven stages to the Lok Sabha election, with results expected on June 4. In 2019, PM Modi and the BJP aim to surpass their count in order to retake power.
