Rajasthan shocker: Infant found abandoned in forest with mouth sealed to muffle cries
PTC News Desk: In a shocking incident, a 15-days-old baby was found abandoned in a forest in Rajasthan's Bilwara district with his mouth sealed to suppress his cries, the police said.
A cattle grazer discovered a newborn near the Sita Ka Kund temple in Mandalgarh, lying beside a pile of stones. Disturbingly, a stone had been shoved into the infant’s mouth and sealed with adhesive to stifle his cries.
The herder immediately alerted others, after which locals removed the stone and rushed the child to a government hospital in Bijolia.
Police stated that the baby, estimated to be 15–20 days old, is undergoing treatment. Doctors attending to him confirmed adhesive marks on his mouth and thigh but said he is now receiving proper medical care.
