Republic Day 2024: Delhi Traffic Police issues advisory amid the rehearsals for Jan 26

Republic Day 2024: As the Republic Day 2024 approaches, the Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory for commuters to avoid certain roads and intersections in the city, amid the rehearsals for the Republic Day Parade.

Republic Day 2024 Traffic Advisory  

The Delhi Traffic Police have advised the public to avoid Vijay Chowk, Rafi Marg-Kartavyapath crossing, Janpath- Kartavyapath crossing, and Man Singh Road-Kartavyapath between 7 am and 11.30 am.

"Due to Republic Day Parade rehearsal, kindly avoid Vijay Chowk, Rafi Marg-Kartavyapath crossing, Janpath- Kartavyapath crossing, and Man Singh Road- Kartavyapath crossing from 07:00 Hrs to 11:30 Hrs on 10-01-2024," Delhi Police said in a statement.

Highest no of girl cadets for R-Day

In a momentous moment for India, the National Cadet Corp has recorded the participation of highest number of girl cadets in the Republic Day Camp 2024. As the Republic Day Camp approaches, the nation eagerly waits for the exceptional performance of the women's contingent, which is poised to leave an indelible mark on the grand stage of the Republic Day celebrations.

A total of 2,274 cadets from all 28 states and eight Union Territories will participate in the month-long National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp 2024. With 907 girls, this year's camp will see the largest participation of girl's cadets.
