Russia job scam: CBI busts ring involved in trafficking Indians to country
Russia job scam: A day after it was revealed that a Hyderabad man duped into joining Russia's war against Ukraine had been killed, the CBI busted a ring involved in trafficking Indians to the country, officials said.
Nearly two dozen Indians are said to have been forced into fighting Russia's war after being duped into travelling to the country on the promise of high-paying jobs.
The investigation agency filed a case and began conducting raids at over ten locations in seven cities associated with the trafficking agents and firms. The raids are being carried out in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Ambala, Chandigarh, and Madurai.
