3 killed, 7 injured as bus plunges into river in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayad
PTC News Desk: At least three people were killed and seven others injured after a 31-seater vehicle, carrying 20 people including the driver, plunged into the Alaknanda River in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district. Eight individuals have been rescued so far, while search and rescue operations by the police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are underway to locate the remaining 10 passengers.
According to Police Headquarters spokesperson IG Nilesh Anand Bharane, the vehicle lost control before falling into the river. The passengers were en route to the Badrinath temple from Udaipur, Rajasthan.

"One person has died and seven people were injured after an 18-seater bus fell into the Alaknanda river in Gholthir of Rudraprayag district. Teams of SDRF, police and administration are present on the spot for the rescue operation," said Garhwal Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey.
The injured have been identified as: Deepika Soni (42), Hemlata Soni (45), Ishwar Soni (46), Amita Soni (49), Bhavna Ishwar Soni (43), Bhavya Soni (7), Parth Soni (10), Sumit Kumar (23, driver).
Rescue teams promptly launched search and recovery operations. Several injured passengers were extracted from the wreckage and taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment, while efforts continue to trace the remaining missing individuals.
