PTC News Desk: In a case of assault against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal, the Delhi Police on Tuesday filed a charge sheet against Bibhav Kumar, an as`sistant to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, listing 50 witnesses, according to The Times of India.

The metropolitan magistrate Gaurav Goyal's court received the 500-page charge sheet. Because Bibhav Kumar was under judicial detention, which the magistrate prolonged until July 30, he appeared in court by video conference.

On July 30, when a judgment regarding taking cognizance of the chargesheet will be made, Bibhav Kumar must be physically present in court. There are fifty witness statements on the chargesheet.

Swati Maliwal, an AAP member in the Rajya Sabha, said that on May 13, Bibhav Kumar had beaten her at the chief minister's house in Delhi. He was detained and placed in judicial prison on May 18. On May 27, June 7, and July 12, his bail was denied because of the seriousness of the crimes and the possibility that he would tamper with the evidence.
