Telangana Assembly Election 2023: The 2023 Telangana Assembly Election has garnered significant attention, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraging voters to participate in large numbers as the state prepares to determine the fate of 2,290 candidates competing for 119 assembly seats. This high-stakes election has witnessed an intense campaign featuring prominent national leaders like PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi of the Congress, and K Chandrashekar Rao of the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

Scheduled alongside elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram, Telangana's election, occurring between November 7 and November 25, will reveal its results on December 3. Among these states, Telangana is the final one conducting its elections.

Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj outlined the voting schedule, specifying the polling duration from 7 am to 5 pm in 106 constituencies and from 7 am to 4 pm in 13 Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected areas. Over 250,000 staff members are engaged in ensuring the smooth conduct of the assembly elections.

In this electoral battleground, the ruling BRS has fielded candidates across all 119 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jana Sena, led by actor Pawan Kalyan, are contesting in 111 and 8 seats respectively. The Congress has allocated one seat to its ally, the Communist Party of India (CPI), and is fielding candidates in 118 other constituencies.
