District Collector Shivam Verma reported that 14 members of a family were trapped beneath the rubble of the collapsed building.
Of these, 12 are receiving treatment at Maharaja Yeshwantrao Government Hospital (MYH), while two victims, identified as Alifa and Faheem, lost their lives. The district collector added that the five-hour-long rescue operation has now been completed.
“The front portion of the building had recently been rebuilt, but the back portion was old. We will investigate the condition of the building’s foundation.
