Viral video: Crocodile drags woman into river, eats her alive in Odisha
Viral video: In a horrifying incident, a large crocodile dragged and ate a woman alive at the banks of the river in Odisha. The incident was caught on camera, the video of which is now going viral on social media.
The incident took place at the banks of a river in the Jajpur district of Odisha on Wednesday where a crocodile devoured a woman while she was taking a bath near the bank of the river.
The disturbing incident was recorded by onlookers from across the riverbank.
In the viral 49-second video, the crocodile could be seen dragging the woman, who was locked between the reptile's massive jaws, down into the deep waters before tearing her to pieces and devouring her whole.
The deceased has reportedly been identified as Jyotsna Rani
Rani was taking a bath on the banks of the Birupa River when the reptile leapt out, grabbed her between its deathly jaws, pulled her into deep waters, and ate her alive.
According to police, local fire and rescue officials were dispatched to the area and later recovered the victim's body from the river following a search operation.
