Wagh Bakri scion Parag Desai succumbs to injuries after attack by street dogs
Wagh Bakri scion Parag Desai dies: Parag Desai, a top executive at Wagh Bakri Tea Group, died on Sunday, just days after being attacked by stray dogs outside his home. He was 49.
Desai was severely injured while trying to fend off street dogs who attacked him on October 15, according to the Ahmedabad Mirror.
A security guard outside his house informed his family about the incident, and he was rushed to Shelby Hospital.
Desai was transferred to Zydus Hospital for a surgical procedure after a day of observation at Shelby Hospital.
On Sunday, however, he died of a brain haemorrhage while undergoing treatment.
In a social media post, Gujarat Congress chief and Rajya Sabha member Shaktisinh Gohil expressed his condolences for Desai's death.
“Very sad news coming in. Parag Desai, Director and owner of Wagh Bakri Tea passed away. He had a brain haemorrhage following a fall. May his soul rest in peace. My condolences to the entire Wagh Bakri family across India,” he said.
Desai was the son of Wagh Bakri Tea Group Managing Director Rasesh Desai.
He is survived by his wife Vidisha and daughter Parisha.
